Career Thoughts: Arts and Business - Do They Mix?
Nashville has had a profound effect on how I see myself - or my two selves: KendrickCreates (www.KendrickCreates.com) and Kendrick Kirk, MBA. This occurred to me while working with some extremely talented musicians here who are also adept professionals. While they could easily make decent livings through music, they’ve chosen to make a different space for it in their lives. It can create a sort of duality - the professional vs. the artist. Perhaps you’re an artist who feels the same.
Why do those of us who find profound meaning through creation resort to branding these two parts independently of one another?
I have no solution - these are just my thoughts, and I’m curious about yours.
